Hospital Affiliations

Each physician in the Somerset Pediatric Group is a member of the hospital staff at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, NJ. Somerset Medical Center is fully equipped and staffed to care for most acute illnesses. Many members of our group also hold staff privileges at St. Peter’s Hospital in New Brunswick, Goryeb Children’s Center in Morristown, and Bristol Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick. Our doctors see newborns at each of these hospitals on a daily basis. Those children who require extensive diagnostic services and consultations, and those requiring intense care will be admitted to one of these facilities. The physicians of the Pediatric Group have a working relationship at one or more of the major specialty or teaching hospitals in New Jersey, New York and Philadelphia. These resources are available for special circumstances. The decision to make a referral to such a distant medical resource will always be made in accordance with the specific medical needs of the child, preferences of the parents and guidelines of the managed care company.
